Enjoy the sites of Los Cabos Mexico

Whether you're looking to get married; celebrate a birthday/anniversary or just wanting a getaway vacation, Los Cabos Mexico is a BEAUTIFUL place to visit. I had the opportunity to stay at the Dreams Suites Golf Resort and Spa  in a junior suite with an ocean view. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I was also very impressed with the service from the front desk right up to the service on the beach.

As a first timer at any type of resort I wasn't sure what to expect but was amazed by how friendly and helpful the staff were on the resort. I was warned by many who have stayed in different resorts in Mexico that I should be wary of locals who constantly bombard guests around the beaches selling trinkets or pushing to braid your hair for a fee.  At Dreams I didn't experience any of these issues as the beach is private and protected.

I thoroughly enjoyed the daily activities provided by the resort. The children who travelled with us spent most of their days at the resort's child minding camp where they participated in active games and activities such as swimming, dance, arts/ crafts and bungee.

Many activities provided by the resort were family friendly and great for people of all ages.  One of my FAVOURITE activities was releasing sea turtles, karaoke and beachball volleyball. What a dream come true! If there wasn't an activity that was provided by the resort, they happily directed you to companies such as Sunquest that booked day trips for scuba diving; swimming with dolphins; visiting the local city or deep sea fishing.

An infinity pool was located right in the middle of the resort where you could play volleyball without distracting those lounging in the pool or swim up to the walk up bar to grab an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.  For those who preferred a kid free environment, there was also an adults only pool surrounded by beautiful palm trees and hammocks.

The food was surprisingly very good and the selection of restaurants ranged from Italian cuisine to Asian cuisine or even surf and turf. Nightly entertainment ranged from fire throwers to magic or music.

Whether you are travelling as a family or alone, Los Cabos is a beautiful place to be. I give the resort 4 stars!

A visit to Halifax, Nova Scotia- worth the trip??

I have the opportunity to visit Halifax, Nova Scotia this summer. I'm really not sure what to expect as I've only ever travelled around my own province of Ontario here in Canada. What are the people going to be like, and what am I going to do while I'm there? These are only just a few questions I have about this place. I 'm really not sure what to expect. As my boyfriend is completing his final MBA course at Dalhousie Univeristy, I will be travelling around the area with his 14 year old daughter. We are subletting a place minutes away from the univeristy. The lady we are subletting from mentioned that we are walking distance from downtown and a grocery store. This is important to me as I purposely decided to sublet a place rather than book a hotel so that I can cook throughout the week in case we weren't in walking distance from restaurants and fast food joints.  I am currently looking on their tourism website to see what there is to do while we are out there. If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave a comment.
